Here is a guide on how to make money in Crash TIme 3.
Intro
Ideally, we want to use the ways that:
- Make a lot of money, quickly
- Don’t take too much effort
So What Ways Can You Make Money in CD3?
- Daily consecutive logins: An okay bonus if you remember to login every so often, but can only be claimed every so often.
- “Free money” options: You can get some money for following M2H on various platforms. Meh.
- Money crates: Getting $500 per box is good and you should snag them when you can. Decent effort to reward ratio when you can get a few, but not a mainstay.
- Completing challenges: A decent source of money — every four hours or so.
- Stunting: Just riding around and performing stunts can net a steady stream of income. Keep your multiplier up and chain stunts together for more cash income.
- Winning events: Here’s your mainstay. Finishing first (or even top three) in an event in a zone with enough players can net you $7,000 or more.
Non-Event Cash Grinding
Just login daily. For each consecutive day you login, you’ll gain $500 multiplied by the day count (so 4 days in a row = $2,000). Not a huge source of cash, but anything helps.

The usual follow/like/subscribe things. Not really much reward, but if you don’t mind doing these tasks you’ll get a few extra bucks.

Scattered around any map will be crates with dollar signs on them; pick them up for an instant $500 bonus. Note that other players can pick them up as well. These are a decent source of income without a large amount of work, so consider snagging them when you can.

After you finish the tutorial, you’ll receive challenges in the top right of your HUD. This can include hitting objects, performing stunts, winning certain events, and so on. Note that you’ll never get a challenge for a zone or car you don’t have.
These are a decent source of money (gold-tier challenges will give you $5,000, others somewhat less but usually involve less work) but since you can do them every 4-5 hours they won’t be a mainstay. Just make a plan to achieve them as quickly and efficiently as possible for the extra $6,000-$9,000 or so.

The dumb fun that comes from CD3 is racing around like a maniac and flipping around as much as you can, so just keep doing that and you’ll get a steady trickle of income going. Stunting is usually needed for one or more daily challenges and two event types, so see the stunting tip section for more.

Between these options, you should be netting a decent income, however, events will likely be your mainstay of cash since you can earn upwards of $7,000 for a two-four minute investment.
Event Cash Grinding – Part 1
- Don’t play alone. The tasks you’ll have to do generally take more work and the reward is dramatically less. (for example: Compare having to do 100 damage to the beachball on your own vs. only needing to do maybe half that to get first)
- Conversely, if you’re playing in a region where there are too many people and they’re too competitive, the difficulty in achieving a top 3 finish may offset your earning potential.
- Ideally, you’ll be in a server with a lot of players who don’t bother with the active game so you can just complete the objectives without much interference.
- Even if you don’t finish top 3, you can still make some money as long as you get some points on the board/finish the race/etc, so don’t give up.
- Don’t change cars in the middle of the event or you’ll lose your current score/standing.
- Tying for a place gets you the same amount of money, so if you tie for first both you and the other person in first will get the same amount of cash.
A large and (strangely non-buoyant) beach ball will appear. Run into it to damage it.
- Getting to the ball is your first task; lucky you if it spawns nearby, not so much if it’s on the other side of the map.
- You’ll need to predict the ball’s motion and coordinate your speed to do the most damage per hit.
- Getting several small hits can be a decent strategy as well.
- Be aware that you can’t damage the ball for several seconds after it takes damage.
- If you can get a good lead, you can likely leave the ball alone for the last 20-30 seconds so you can go grab cash boxes, etc.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Medium, Heavy
Pros: You can still get some participation money for getting any amount of damage on the board, which doesn’t take a lot of effort.
Cons: Can be frustrating to try tracking the ball on a controller due to the camera being difficult to control.
Some players will start as cops; most will start as robbers. Cops want to run into robbers to convert them into cops, robbers want to grab gold bars and avoid capture.
- Robbers can’t boost to make it more likely cops can catch up to them, but take advantage of the fact that cops have to react to you. One on one you should have the advantage as long as you don’t drive in a straight line. Master the handbrake and hang around obstacles.
- Since cops start with a 1,000 point lead, you’ll need five gold bars just to catch up. Try to stay away from other players to give yourself time to escape if needed, and collect gold.
- If you either start as a cop or get tagged, you can still win. Every robber you tag will net you 1,000 points.
- Be careful using boost as a cop; it’s tremendously easy to overshoot your target. Try to anticipate where they’ll go.
- If you’re the last robber and you have a good score lead, just turn yourself in to the lowest scoring cop to prevent others from getting the 1,000 points from catching you.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: You can still get some participation money for getting any points on the board. Massive trolling potential if you’re a robber.
Cons: Can be painful to chase down robbers on your own.
Event Cash Grinding – Part 2
Collect coins that fall from the skies.
- A majority of coins will be worth 10; silver and gold are worth 25 and 50 respectively. To win you’ll need to snag a few of the latter to keep ahead of other players.
- This is somewhat luck-based, so just keep moving to grab those silver and golds where you can.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: Like other events, just putting some points on the board will award you some cash. As long as you can find a fair amount of 25 and 50 point coins, it’s not hard to finish in the top 3.
Cons: When you can’t get those silver & gold coins, good luck. You have to play the entire round (no ending early).
One of the rings in the level will turn blue. Drive through it to place.
- One of the best events, especially if you’re already close to the ring and know how to get to it.
- Get there fast, hit the ring, place.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, medium
Pros: One of the fastest events to complete and get a decent haul from. Easy enough to get participation cash even if you don’t place in the top 3.
Cons: If a ring is hard to get to (especially with your current car), you’re going to have a bad time.
One player starts off with the crown and their timer begins ticking down. Run into them to steal the crown. Run out your crown time to win.
- This event can be incredibly annoying as catching the crown holder can be tricky if they know what they’re doing.
- Just try to get any time with the crown and run away.
- As with cops & robbers, if you have the crown, you can’t boost. If you don’t, you can.
- Be mindful of your boost, as you can easily be thrown off course (especially in lighter cars) by overuse.
- You don’t necessarily have to run out your timer to win, just have the least amount of time left when the event ends. Conversely, anyone running out a crown timer ends the event.
Ease: ⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️
Overall: ⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: If you like trolling chasing you, this can be fun. Completing a crown timer ends the event early.
Cons: Super annoying event because you have to tag the crown holder, then fend off everyone else coming after you.
Event Cash Grinding – Part 3
Power points will appear. Find them, then park yourself in them to score points while they last.
- There are two rings (outer and inner). Being in both will score more points.
- The hill will relocate twice, once at ??? seconds left and again at 47 seconds left.
- Holding handbrake while parked will make it slightly harder to push you out.
- Try to look around for incoming cars. Most will be over boosting to get there, so dodge as late as possible to let them fly by and miss the ring.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Medium, Heavy
Pros: Not too hard to get on the board so you can get some cash for this without too much work.
Cons: Placing in top three takes a fair amount of work in competitive regions. The ring moves twice after the initial spawn.
Simple concept: Race through the gates. Can be one of the easiest wins you get, and because you can finish it
- Controlling your boost usage is critical here. Too much at the wrong time and you’ll go flying.
- Heavy vehicles should aim to push lighter cars around, then take off.
- Know what obstacles can be safely hit.
- Avoid going too airborne (especially in light vehicles) as that will (usually) slow you down; however, also be aware that stunting can help refill boost.
- Watch for boost refill crates and snag them if you can.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: You can finish well ahead of the time limit so you can go stunting/finish challenges/hunt down cash boxes in the meantime.
Cons: Getting knocked off course can be annoying. Must complete the race to get cash (can’t just do part of the race).
Simple enough: Perform stunts to score the most points in the event time.
- At the event start, your current multiplier and stunt score will be reset, so you can’t keep them going into it.
- Growing and maintaining your multiplier is key to higher scores, so look for ways to perform chained stunts. If you need more time to chain, try to perform a quick drift to keep the chain alive. This will grow your meter faster.
- Most maps have good spots for earning points; for example, in Arctic, learn where the barrel piles are and use those for huge airtime and massive point scores.
- Hitting rings (even if found already) in your stunt can dramatically increase their value.
- The more actions you can do, the better. You do have about 3-5 seconds after the last stunt to chain into another, so be quick.
- You must have a decent landing for the stunt to count. Good through perfect landings can dramatically increase your score, while landing on your hood can make you lose score.
- Know the best ways to score stunting points in each region. For example, in Arctic, knowing where the barrel piles are can lead to big points (light car + barrel pile boom = several seconds of stunt time).
- Mind your time; setting up for a big stunt with 20 seconds left is dicey.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: If you know the better spots on a map you can easily earn thousands of points. Trivial to put some points on the board so if you don’t want to try too hard you’ll still get some cash.
Cons: If you have trouble keeping up your multiplier your scoring will be hampered. Can take a lot of work to place in top 3.
Event Cash Grinding – Part 4
Do stunts to tag ramps and other objects. Have more tags to win.
- Unlike the Stunting event, you do keep your starting multiplier, and you can tag something as the event starts if you time things right.
- Keep up your multiplier to make it harder to steal your tags and make it easier for you to steal others’ tags.
- Know where the best places on the map to get multiple tags in one go are (for example, in canyon, long multi-part bridges).
- See the stunting section for stunting tips.
- Try to stick to an unpopulated area if possible and tag everything there before moving on.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Recommended car classes: Light, Medium
Pros: Trivial to get on the board with a tag or two.
Cons: Have to be quick to place first in more competitive regions.
Drive tank, shoot other tanks to knock them out of the arena. Only available in Tropics region.
- Pretty fun diversion from the other game modes, even if the tanks handle like the cars.
Ease: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Efficiency: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pros: Trivial to get on the board with a kill or two.
Cons: Have to play the entire round to get cash. Can get frustrating if you’re getting spawn killed and such.
