Beating the Hydra in this game can feel impossible, but sometimes luck plays a big role. In this guide, I’ll share how I managed to take it down with a mix of good gear, smart choices, and a bit of luck. My build focused on high armor and sustain, but keep in mind that your item pool might be different, so adapt accordingly.
Starting Stats Before the Fight

I also made sure to cut off the Acid Head (#1) before the fight to reduce incoming damage.

How the Fight Went
With high armor and sustain from Blood Imp and Clearwater Chalice, I could outlast the Hydra’s attacks. Explosive Arrow helped chip away damage when its armor was down, and Serpent Scale added extra poison pressure. The fight was close—I killed the third Hydra head with a final hit that would’ve killed me next turn.
Final Thoughts
This build worked because of strong defensive items and a bit of luck. If you try something similar, focus on stacking armor and sustain while looking for synergies like Flow and Poison. Since loot is random, adapt based on what you find.
Good luck, and may RNG be on your side!
