This guide provides all the information you need to know about anything related to friendship, dating, and marriage.
Basic Information
Friendship is a value representing how favorable a cat is towards you. It comes in three different types of values: friendship, dating, and marriage. These values are used independently based on your relationship with the cat. If you’re dating a cat, the dating value is used, and likewise for the marriage value. All other cats use the normal friendship value.
Each type of value can be represented by a number in the range of 0 – 1000. These numbers then correlate to a specific tier, which is displayed in the table below.
Each type of friendship has a unique symbol. The normal friendship symbol is a star, the dating symbol is a heart, and the marriage symbol is a ring. Each tier represents how many symbols are displayed for that specific type of value. For example, having a tier 2 relationship with a cat you’re dating will result in 2 hearts being displayed.
Note: Spirit cats do not have a visible friendship bar until you begin dating or become married to them.
Reaching new tiers causes cats to unlock new dialogue and allows you to experience new events (see Event Guide).
Almost every cat can be married, including spirits. The only exceptions are kittens, as well as cats who are participating in a rival marriage.
Note: Spirit cats have a x0.85 friendship difficulty modifier, meaning they’re 15% more difficult to gain friendship with.
