If you’ve been wandering around Point Nemo in Scale the Depths and found yourself stuck in front of a mysterious puzzle door, don’t worry—you’re not alone. This door requires a bit of exploration and memory work, but once you know what to look for, it’s actually pretty straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you crack it open.
Step 1: Find the Three Hints in the Sea
Before you can press anything, you need to locate three visual hints scattered around the waters of Point Nemo. These hints are not in the same spot for every player, so you’ll have to swim around and keep your eyes peeled. Each hint shows a specific switch pattern with a white dot in a different position.
Step 2: Memorize the First Switch

The first hint will show a switch with a white dot on the left. Take note of its appearance and location. You’ll need to remember this when you go back to the door.
Step 3: Memorize the Second Switch

The second hint features a switch with a white dot in the center. Again, remember what it looks like and where you saw it.
Step 4: Memorize the Third Switch

The third hint shows a switch with a white dot on the right. This is the last piece of the puzzle, so make sure you’ve got all three patterns locked in your memory.
Step 5: Press the Switches in the Correct Order

Return to the puzzle door. You’ll see three switches you can press. Based on the hints you found, press them in the order that matches your specific hints. For example, in my playthrough, the correct order was: center bottom → top left → bottom left. Your order may be different depending on where your hints were located.
Tips
- The hint locations and switch patterns vary from player to player. There’s no fixed solution, so you’ll need to explore and discover your own.
- Take a screenshot or write down the patterns if you’re worried about forgetting them.
- If you press the wrong switch, you can reset by leaving the area and coming back.
