This is a simple guide to earning every achievement in Probably Stolen. I put together the steps for each one so you can check them off without guessing. Some come from normal story progress, and a few are hidden or grindy, so I will point out where each one actually unlocks.
Lower Levels Special — Disguise Illegal Goods
To earn Lower Levels Special, you need to disguise illegal goods or a counterfeit item as an ordinary product.
The story route is the easiest way to get this during the first week. If you play as a normal trader, a supplier or merchant will visit you during week one and bring a suspicious pack of cigarettes. During that quest, which serves as your tutorial on handling contraband, you will be offered a labeling machine to re-mark the fake cigarettes for resale.
First Steps — Start a Game on Student Mode
For First Steps, start the game in Student mode. Follow the game’s instructions and finish 14 in-game days.
An Eye for Value — 10 Perfect Appraisals
For An Eye for Value, you need to make 10 perfect appraisals of goods.
When a customer comes to your shop to sell an item, do not rush into naming a random price or accepting the first offer. Inspect the item carefully: check its authenticity, its quality, and whether it has hidden defects or traces of contraband. Your goal is to set a final price that matches the item’s true value exactly, including all its modifiers and the current market.
The game only counts an perfect appraisal if your stated price matches the item’s true price down to the last credit. Repeat this 10 times and the achievement is yours.
Comfortably Afloat — Over 10,000 Credits in Total Store Value
To get Comfortably Afloat, start a new in-game day with your total store value above 10,000 credits.
The game counts more than the cash sitting in your account. Total value includes your cash credits on balance, the value of all goods on your shelves or in storage, and the value of equipment you have bought and installed (machines, workbenches, hydroponics, refrigerators).
Here is how I would build it up fast:
- Don’t keep money under the mattress. Cash credits lose value because the station rent keeps climbing. Put what you earn into goods, and fill your shelves and storage containers with in-demand, valuable items before you close your shift.
- Safe start on water. The most stable way to turn a profit without security fines is to develop the water trade. Install filters, purify technical water, and sell the bottles. That gives you steady, legal income.
- Check your goods carefully. Do not accept counterfeits. Use the magnifying glass to verify the items customers bring in. If you overpay for a fake, the value of your stock drops sharply.
- Monitor before bed. At the end of the workday, before you hit the “go to sleep” button, open the stats menu and check your current Estimated Total Wealth. If it is above 10,000, finish the day with confidence.
Swimming in Credits — 100,000 Credits
Now do the same at 100,000 credits. Automate production and upgrade your machines to the max. Keep every spare credit working: taxes and rent go up, so keep reinvesting in expensive equipment and elite goods. On the night before you claim this achievement, your stock should be overflowing with valuable items.
Industrious — Own 10 Work Stations at Once
For Industrious, own 10 work stations or machines at the same time at the start of an in-game day.

- Expand your shop: buy new workbenches, chemical labs, hydroponic setups, or water filters from Dr. Jackson or through the furnishing menu.
- Place everything on your base. The achievement requires all 10 machines to stand in your shop at the same time. Do not sell your old stations to buy new ones until you have popped it.
- Finish the day: once you have placed any 10 production machines, press the “go to sleep” button. The badge unlocks exactly when the next morning is generated and the game checks your shop’s status.
Authorized — Get an Official Trading License
For Authorized, you need to obtain an official permit to trade.

- Develop your shop and save money: at the start your shop sits in a gray zone. To go legit, you need to build up a large sum of credits for fees and clear your basic rent debts.
- Do faction quests: raise your reputation with the local regulators or influential station factions. Progressing through their quest lines opens the option to apply for your documents.
- Buy the permit: once the license purchase option appears in the upgrades menu or through a key NPC, buy it.
Jackpot — Win the Scratch Card Top Prize
To get Jackpot, win the main prize on a lottery scratch card.
You can buy lottery scratch cards regularly from merchants, find them in trash bins, or get them as rewards or bonuses from customers on the space station.
The jackpot chance is low. So I would hoard every scratch card you come across in a separate chest or storage container as you play. Once you have 30–50 of them, sit down for one big “scratching” session. Sooner or later one ticket will win, and the achievement unlocks.
We Have Rats! — Start the Hidden Rat Wrangler Scenario
For We Have Rats!, start the game with the hidden Rat Wrangler scenario.
- Go to the game’s Main Menu and click “New Game”.
- On the starting scenario selection screen (where options like the standard start or Rock Bottom are available by default), you need to activate the hidden mode.
- The Rat Wrangler scenario is locked visually. To unlock access, complete the hidden condition during a normal playthrough: go into your storage, look at the corners and walls, and you will periodically see rat holes. Interact with the rat holes 5 times. Once you do, a hidden notification appears saying a new starting scenario has been unlocked.
- Select the Rat Wrangler scenario and launch the game.
Keys to the Kingdom — Fully Buy Out Your Shop
To get Keys to the Kingdom, fully buy out the rights to your shop.
- Save for the buyout: throughout the game you pay rent to a harsh landlord. Your final global goal is to collect a huge sum of credits (the exact amount depends on the difficulty you chose at the start) to buy out the contract.
- Clear your debts: before the buyout, you must have no active debts or fines from the station security service.
Prodigious — Buy Out the Shop Within 50 Days
This is the same as the previous achievement, but within 50 in-game days. Here is how I would race the buyout:
- Skip the expensive cosmetics. Do not spend credits on decor or shelf extensions unless they directly boost your profit right now. Every spare credit should go straight back into circulation.
- Bet on illegal goods. Collecting that huge sum in under 50 days on legal water or basic junk sales will not be enough. Take the risk, handle contraband and sell elite devices on the black market. They have the highest margins.
- Faction discounts. Build reputation with the faction that controls station real estate. Good relations can significantly lower the final buyout cost or hold back the weekly rent increase.
- Time control. Plan every day carefully. If you get fined or a large shipment is confiscated, reload the day right away, because the lost time and money will cost you the chance to finish by day 50.
Diplomatic — Max Reputation with One Faction
For Diplomatic, raise your reputation with any single faction to the maximum level of 200.
- Focus on one target. Do not try to please everyone, because acting for one faction often hurts your standing with another. Pick one group and take only their orders. The easiest to raise are the Security Service or Lower Levels through legal goods.
- Starting perks (critical). If you aim for this achievement, be sure to take these when creating your character: the Well Connected perk, which gives a valuable +15 starting boost to reputation with all factions at once, and the Diplomatic perk, which passively increases all reputation gained from trading by 33%.
- Key upgrade. As soon as possible, save up and buy the Price Gouge shop upgrade. It multiplies all faction experience gained by 1.5.
- Favorable deals. When representatives of your chosen faction come in, give them discounts when they buy or overpay when you buy their items. Every successful deal that favors the customer adds relationship points.
Cranked to Eleven — Push Machine Quality to +250
To get Cranked to Eleven, push the quality of any production station or machine to +250.
- Pick one target station. The easiest and cheapest to push is your basic workbench, chemical lab, or water purifier, which you use from the start of the game.
- Use upgrade modules. Buy or craft special equipment upgrades that raise the quality stat. Study the properties of parts that customers bring or merchants sell.
- Regular maintenance. Some machines temporarily lose performance under heavy wear, so fully repair the machine before your final push.
- Break the limit. Install modules one after another until the station card shows a quality bonus to produced goods of +250 or higher. The achievement unlocks on Steam the moment you install the final module.
Clean Hands — Finish Without Selling Stolen Goods
For Clean Hands, complete the game without ever selling a single stolen or smuggled item.
- Reject crime completely. From the very first day, do not stock items with signs of break-ins, scratched-off serial numbers, or goods customers clearly brought from the black market. If you doubt an item’s origin, skip the deal.
- Bet on production. Reselling other people’s items without the risk of stumbling onto stolen goods is hard, so your main income should come from your own production. Develop water purification, set up hydroponic trays to grow permitted plants, and assemble legal devices at your workbenches. Selling goods you made yourself from scratch is 100% safe.
- Perfect reputation. Keep your relationship with the Security Service high. For one, an honest shop avoids unnecessary inspections, and for another, high standing with them unlocks lucrative legal contracts and reduces taxes.
- Patience. This run takes longer than trading contraband. Rent will press you, so plan your spending carefully and do not waste money on cosmetic shop upgrades until you have saved for the final buyout.
Shiny — Reach 1,000 Store Attractiveness
To get Shiny, start an in-game day with your shop’s attractiveness at 1,000.
- Buy decor. Pick up neon signs, posters, holograms, new stylish shelves, and carpets. You can get them through the shop furnishing menu or trade with some customers.
- Mind the cleanliness. Dirt, trash, and rats in your storage or sales floor badly lower your overall attractiveness. Be sure to clean up before you finish a shift.
- Upgrade machines. Some advanced, expensive work stations in clean condition also add points to your overall attractiveness stat.
- Go to sleep. Once the total in the stats menu passes 1,000, end the workday. The badge unlocks the next morning when the daily report is generated.
Aug Hunter — Shotgun 10 Fake Humans
To get Aug Hunter, identify and shoot 10 fake people or androids with a shotgun.
This is a combat cumulative achievement, and its progress is saved across different playthroughs and sessions. You do not have to take down all ten in one run.
Here is how I check for an aug before firing:
- Mismatched clothing. Look closely at the character model. If the dialog box says the customer is from an elite Upper Levels faction but they are dressed like a scavenger from the dump, you have an aug in front of you.
- Eye anomalies. When you examine the face closely, fake humans show strange, unnatural pupils or a chip built right into the head.
- Physical behavior. Aug models may shake unnaturally and violently during conversation.
Snitches Get Riches — Report 10 Wanted Criminals
For Snitches Get Riches, report 10 wanted criminals to the security service.

This is a cumulative achievement, and progress saves between runs, so you do not need to turn in all ten in one playthrough.
- Watch the wanted posters. Officer Lan warns that a false report fines you, so compare faces against the wanted posters, which show the criminals’ faces and the rewards on them.
- Use the alarm. When a customer whose face matches the wanted list walks up to your counter, press the red alarm button under the counter.
- Get the reward. The Security Service takes the criminal away, and you get a cash bonus. Repeat this 10 times across your total playtime and the achievement unlocks.
From Nothing — Win on Rock Bottom
For From Nothing, complete the game (buy out the shop rights) starting a run on the Rock Bottom scenario.
- First days on junk. Since you have no money to buy stock, you cannot trade with customers in the very first days. Head to your storage or search the station’s trash containers. Collect any free junk, clean it, and sell it for pennies to save your first 100–200 credits for turnover.
- Safe water business. Rent on this scenario does not forgive mistakes. The most stable way to get on your feet fast without the risk of confiscations and fines is trading purified water. Install filters, buy cheap technical water, purify it, and sell it to station residents. This is your security foundation.
- Reinvest in production. As soon as you cover your basic rent bills, put surplus credits straight into chemical labs and hydroponic trays. Growing rare plants and medical compounds brings many times more profit than plain speculation on other people’s items.
- Control your deals. On Rock Bottom, one big Security Service fine for accidentally buying contraband can bankrupt you instantly. Check the authenticity of items and customers’ documents carefully.
From Nothing, the Hard Way — Win on Rock Bottom at High Difficulty
Do the same as the previous achievement, but harder: successfully finish the game on the Rock Bottom scenario at a high difficulty level.
- Every credit counts. In the early days survive purely on scavenging junk from your storage and trash bins. Do not spend a single credit on food or medicine beyond the critical minimum.
- Flawless reputation. Build your relationship with the Security Service from the very start. On high difficulty, frequent searches can paralyze your shop. High reputation spares you inspections and gives you tax discounts.
- Safe water. Until mid-game, forget the black market. The slightest slip with illegal goods and you are dead. Build your business on water purification: it is stable, legal, and guarantees you cover the rent bills.
- Save abuse. This run does not forgive mistakes. If you accidentally overpaid for an item, took a fake, or got fined, reload the game day without hesitation. The time limit from rising rent here is very tight.
Say My Name — Brew Lab-Pure Narcotics
To get the secret Say My Name achievement, produce a narcotic substance of the purest lab quality.
- Buy a chemical lab. Install a chemical workbench or apparatus in your shop for brewing substances.
- Fully upgrade the station. This achievement is nearly impossible on basic equipment. You need to push the quality of the chemical table.
- Use perfect ingredients. Buy only top-grade chemical components and resources without defects or impurities from trusted customers and the Black Market faction.
- Perfect brewing process. During production, follow the timings and recipe strictly without slip-ups. The finished item must get the rare Lab Pure quality status. The badge unlocks on Steam the moment the finished, purest product is in your inventory.
Green Thumb — Grow a Huge Nutrifruit
For Green Thumb, grow a Huge Nutrifruit in a hydroponic setup.
- Buy advanced hydroponics. Install a high-level hydroponic tray or apparatus in your shop.
- Max out quality. As with machines, push your hydroponic bed’s quality stat using expansion boards and fertilizers. The higher the tray quality, the better the chance the plant mutates to Huge size.
- Use elite seeds. Buy top-grade Nutrifruit seeds from merchants or factions.
- Perfect care. Give the plant maximum watering, correct light, and quality nutrients. Do not skip care days. When you harvest a fully ripe crop, the fruit must get the Huge status. The badge unlocks on Steam instantly the moment you cut that fruit.
Conclusion
Most of these achievements come naturally as you build up your shop, but the hidden ones like Rat Wrangler and Say My Name are easy to miss. Take them one at a time, and you will have the full list done.
