Hello and welcome to my guide about “Hentai Mosaique Neko Waifus”.
This guide is about the gameplay, levels and ability aspect of the game
Disclaimer
While 123 method (spamming 123 at every map) can complete the game in less time than it takes you to beat your meat, while using this method you end up with 1/3 of the total xp and 1/2 of the levels you’d normally gain, not to mention it doesn’t help achievements for which you do need to click.
18+ mod
For this you do absolutelly need the 18+ mod. You’re skipping out on way too much levels and xp, and even if those can be grinded on same levels, the hardest levels that let abilities shine the brightest are locked behind the mod, so please do consider getting it if you haven’t so already.
Important
Obviously, my own opinion
Difficulty and Progression
Game levels can be listed, ranking from easiest to hardest:
- Normal X4
- Rotated X6
- Rotated X8
- Mirrored X8
- Mirrored and Rotated X16
To explain what it means:
X (number) means the maximum amount of times a single piece can rotate, so you might need to click 1 to (x-1) ti solve it.
Rotated means that you will need to flip pieces more than normal ( “Normal X4” )
Mirrored means the pieces are reversed, and you need to reverse them back. On these levels you might spend the most time.
Mirrored and Rotated X16 (only 1 level) means that you can flip piece 8 times, and 8 times again after flipping it, and only 1 out of those 16 is the correct solution.
There are pieces with a locker on them, to unlock them, you need to complete all other pieces around it.
There are levels where the board is seperated up to 4 pieces, and you’d need to rotate those pieces for the end image to make sense, however it is easely shown how to do in 2’nd Sayouri puzzle.
Progression
Unless you want your Photos tab to be a complete mess, I strongly suggest to finish all the puzzles in the row once you started it.
Progression should be Kumi –> Sayouri –> Sayouri and Kumi –> Jiya
While the Sayouri and Kumi’s last levels might seem annoying, and it is stupid that it gets unlocked before Jiya, you have to go thru all the puzzles in the row if you want for your “Pictures” page to look clean.
Skills
Peek
Manual ability you unlock in the very first puzzle, it shows you ALL the pieces that need to be completed, at the cost of mana cooldown.
There’s not much to say about this skill other than before completing the game, do not level it above level 1. If you are going for 100% achievements, you will need to reach level 150, which means you will end up doing extra work after you clear the whole game, only then feel free to level up the skill.
It gets it’s job done if you get stuck.
Punch of Love
Passive ability that gets activated after a number of solved pieces. When activated, it causes nearby blocks to rotate by one.
Unless you plan to just go all in into one ability, do consider putting at least 20 points into this ability. At level 19, the ability activates every third solved piece, while level 20 gives 1 extra range. Leveling after that only gives you range, but you need to sink a lot of points in, when you can be using very same points on something more useful.
Pros:
- Really nice early game skill
- Doesn’t need many points for it to shine
- Doesn’t interact with already solved pieces
- Automatically flips mirrored piece if needed
Cons:
- Very poor scaling into later stages of the game
- Doesn’t interact with locked pieces
Rain of Love
Passive ability that maybe activates after a number of solved pieces. When activated, it has a chance to rotate pieces in a vertical line.
This ability is bad if not invested into it. If you want to play something else, you must have this at low level, which can randomly flip pieces, however if you put points into only this ability, it plays the game for you. Slowly, but eventually you’ll be there.
Pros:
- It can flip mirrored pieces
- If you invest only in it, your APM is 4
Cons:
- Really slow animation
- Doesn’t interact with locked pieces when they are locked
- You’re stuck with this ability if you dont invest into it
Sonar of Love
Passive ability that yada yada. When activated, you get waves that has a chance to solve the pieces.
Its….good, but it takes a while to get to that good part, both while playing and point-wise. It takes a lot of solved blocks to activate, and unlike the Rain, even if you don’t commit more than 5 points to this, it’s nice to have. While at first it might seem that the percentage of solved pieces is low, the amount of waves and their range more than make up for it However, if you do fully commit to this, once it goes off, it goes off, with it’s only counter being locked pieces, as the ability doesn’t react to them if they get unlocked.
Pros:
- Nice to have at any level
- If you put all the points into this, it can play the map for you (if there’s no locked pieces)
Cons:
- Without preperation, it takes quite a number of solved pieces to activate
- If you unlock pieces right when the pulse activates and/or you unlock the pieces when it’s actiaved, it ignores the new pieces.
Airstrike of Love
Passive ability. When activated, it shoots missles in random directions.
Very similar to sonar, however the description of this ability is seriously lacking. My best guess is that there’s 100% chance that impacted pieces will get rotated with a chance of being solved, and that chance doesn’t increase with points. What makes this ability good is the amount of missles you get for putting points into it, as well as it’s able to solve locked pieces. Its a really good ability, with it’s only downside being that this ability requires the most activated pieces out of any abilities in the game.
Pros:
- Interacts with locked pieces
- Once it activates, it plays the game for you.
Cons:
- Without preperation, it takes the longest time to activate
- Really lacking ability description
Earthquake of Love
Manual ability. When activated, it shuffles all the pieces, with a percentage of them solved.
This one really good. Main drawback of it however, is that when it shuffles the pieces, it includes already solved ones, being the only ability in the game that can flip already solved pieces. Scaling of it is really good, and is best used as an opening of the map, however it’s use gets worse the more you solve the map.
Pros:
- Really good percentages of solved pieces
- Manual ability
- Can interact with locked pieces
- Great as opening ability
Cons:
- It can and will flip solved pieces
- Without proper point investment, becomes harmful if used >50% map completion
Recommended Build
Here’s the build I’d recommend going for:
- Level 1 Peek
- Level 20 Punch of Love
- Level 5 Rain and Sonar of Love
- All of points into Airstrike of Love
- Level 29 Earthquake
Order of leveling:
- Get level 20 Punch of Love
- Get to Earthquake
- Level it to 29 (at least 50%)
- Everything that’s left, put into Airstrike of Love
After Punch of Love step, it should carry you quite a bit, and you want for Earthquake to be useful as early as you can, as having 50% of the map solved with a click of a button is just too good to pass up. You can go all in Earthquake if you want, but at the very last map you get <80% of solved pieces,
but you’ll be left with 20% more or less map to be solved by hand.
Tips and Tricks
I mentioned this a few times, now I will explain what it means. Before going to a difficult map, you can play any easy map for a bit, you don’t need to complete it, your goal is for your main abilities to be 1-2 solved pieces away from activating, so that after switching to a map you want to complete and solving 1-2 pieces, your abilities can go ham.
Trigger solving pieces twice
A neat trick is that if an ability rotates a piece and in process solves it, you can rotate that solved piece again for it to count as solved again. Works exceptionally well with Punch of Love.
Solved Percentage
If you ever forget the anatomy of a bedsheet or a chair, you can always randomly flip the piece and watch the Map solved percentage go up and down at the bottom left corner.
