Looking to unlock every ending in Pain Pain Go Away!? You’re in the right place. This guide covers all 6 endings with step-by-step conditions, progressive hints to preserve your puzzle-solving experience, and direct answers when you just want to get it done. The guide follows the order I personally collected them in, so it’s a proven path.

 

Introduction

There are 6 endings total in Pain Pain Go Away!. I could just list the conditions outright, but since the puzzle elements are part of the fun, I’ve included progressive hints for each ending. Hover over the spoiler tags to reveal only what you need. The direct branch conditions are also provided below each section.

End-1

The ending you get when progressing normally. There’s one puzzle element in Story Ep.4, so here are hints and the answer.

Hints

1. The name has appeared in the story up to this point.
2. Check Ep.1 “From the Beginning” (before counseling).
3. Check Ep.2 “From the Beginning” (before counseling).

The game guides you toward this one pretty carefully.

Hints

1. The word hint is in End-1.
2. The word doesn’t appear directly in the game. If you don’t know it, just search honestly.
3. In “Dive Mode,” there’s a spot where you can input a different word than what’s displayed.
4. Help that child remember the flower language.

End-5

There’s a hint image that leads to the input word.

Hints (Word)

1. The text below the image is broken into: “e4 f5 f4 Nf6 g3 Nxe4 d3 e6 c4 g6 Qf3 d5 Ke2”
2. It’s a board game. N, Q, and K are piece names. “x” means capturing a piece.
3. It’s chess notation. Piece types are K/Q/R/N/B/(P). P isn’t written in notation.
4. Move pieces on a chessboard following the notation. Read the squares where the Knight (N) points.

1. Pay attention to “Cult Leader’s Rough Stone.”
2. Which episode discussed religion?
3. During normal “Dive Mode” progression, there’s a spot where a hidden word reacts.

Tip	Try switching to the English version.

(Seriously, this is so hard that I suspect there’s a debuff mechanic somewhere if you input a specific word.)
