Cruel Reality: A horrible dream – 100% Achievement and Ending Walkthrough

As with all my guides, here’s a short intro before you get started with some things to keep in mind.

• It’s standard Visual Novel controls. Mouse-wheel back through choices and dialogue, and right click to save. You can save on choices.
• The game will kick you out to your desktop on some endings. That’s normal, don’t panic. You still get the achievements.
• There is no alternative font. It’s frustrating, but this is what you’re stuck working with.
• For people who normally read my guides and followers in particular: This is not a romance otome game. It is primarily a horror game. Totally cool if you don’t vibe with that.
• For people that do vibe with that, keep in mind that this game has massive trigger and content warnings. Please only play this when you are in an ok head space, and contact your support networks if you feel you need to. If you’re a streamer, please also be mindful of this, and comment below if you need specific warnings and triggers spoiled for twitch tos.

  Ok, so let’s dive in.

These achievements cannot be missed and will occur as you play it:

• Cruel Reality – Start a new game.
• It’s Wednesday Time! – Occurs as you play.
• That’s all folks! – Occurs when you get any ending.

This is the “True”/Good ending, and the “main” one that has the final epilogue.

• Get Dressed and Go Outside
• Cheaper, the money will come in handy!
• Here, have a 1 dollar! – Unlocks “You have a good heart“
• In the chest

Achievement “It’s a weird place…“, “Don’t be a menace to south central” and “It’s a latex glove” will pop shortly after

• …
• being alone
• I will miss….
• I will try to
• Use your secret weapon…

Achievement “Father?” and “Always in my heart…” will pop shortly after

This is the “Bad” ending.

• Have a Smoke – Unlocks “Damn, what a puff“
• More Expensive, We spend it all! – Unlocks “A stranger in trouble“
• The only option should be: I’m sorry, I don’t have any – Unlocks “Greedy-Beefy”
  Achievement “Don’t be afraid” should pop shortly afterwards.
• Check every other pocket, and then In the Chest
• You’re really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy

Achievement “Oh *BEEP*, I’m sorry… comrade… about the noise…” should pop shortly afterwards.

• Being Alone – Unlocks “Forever Alone“
• …
• Run and get the knife! – Unlocks “We’ll always be together, brother!“

Note: The game will throw you out and close the game at the end of this ending – this will give you the Sweet Dream ending achievement, but you might not see it actually pop.

“You can’t say it’s a bad ending… because it was your choice.”

This is also a bad ending.
