PEAK: All Locations and Biomes Guide

Welcome to the ultimate breakdown of every location and biome in PEAK. Even experienced players can miss small details, so I’m here to walk you through everything you need to know. Let’s dive straight in.

All Locations and Biomes

Beach

The Beach is the simplest and most beginner-friendly biome since it’s the first one you encounter. Your starting location has plenty of items for achievements, and coconut trees grow everywhere. If you don’t find food in chests, just knock down coconuts and cook them over a campfire.

Dangers

Danger Description
Poisonous jellyfish Low threat level
Spikes Low threat level

You’d have to actively try to die here—these hazards are barely dangerous.

Food

Food Item Notes
Coconut Found on trees, can be cooked
Red berries Edible, crunchy
Yellow berries Edible, crunchy
Green berries Poisonous

Bridges

Bridges help you find a safe path to the peak. Watch out though—if two people stand on the same bridge at once, it breaks.

Tropics

The Tropics is a biome full of poison. Rain falls here occasionally, which slows down climbing and increases slipping, making falls more likely.

Dangers

Danger Description
Spiky growths Touch them and you get poisoned; small chance a tick latches onto you
Ticks Poison you and grow bigger—you can pick them off and eat them
Orange spores Explode and knock you back
Green spores Explode and release red poisonous spores in a radius

Food

Food Item Notes
Red bananas Poisonous
Yellow bananas Safe to eat
Blue bananas Safe to eat
Spicy berries Looks like chili peppers; burns when eaten but useful in Highlands
Honeycomb (2-4 per hive) Restores lots of food and bonus energy

Waterfall

Getting too close to the waterfall will sweep you away. This is dangerous because you could fall and die.

Roots

The Roots is an interesting but tough location. On your way to the mountain, you’ll find many trees with bridges. These make travel easier, but watch out for spiders and wind.

Fauna

Creature Behavior
Spider Traps you in web; escape before it bites. The real danger isn’t poison—it’s falling after breaking free
Rhinoceros beetle Tries to get close and push you off the edge

Main Threats

Threat Details
Wind Stronger than tropical rain; blows you toward the mountain and on the mountain itself. Grab a vine or any surface to hold on. Full stamina (about 7/10) is enough to survive even the longest wind
Poison As annoying as wind. Besides mushrooms and spores, there are huge purple-pink areas that poison you every second. Walk around them or stay near the edge—never go inside

Mushrooms

There are about 5 types of mushrooms, all different. Most poison you but give some kind of buff or effect in return.

Table Mountain

The path to the mountain has three stages.

Stage 1: Approach

You’ll encounter mirages, antlions, and tornadoes here.

Stage 2: The Gorge

Simple but takes time to get out of. The gap is small enough to jump across from one side to the other.

Stage 3: The Mountain Itself

Fauna

Creature Description
Scorpions Common on the mountain and very dangerous. Attacks are slow, but if they hit you, survival is unlikely without antidote
Antlion Hides in sand during Stage 1, disguised as a red suitcase. Gets close, sucks you in, then bites. Without full stamina or a plan, you’re in trouble

Climate Events

Event Details
Heat The most serious danger here. During the day, stepping out of shade deals fire damage. Stay in shade or wait for night. Sunscreen works too
Tornado Stage 1 event. Can carry you far—best case you hit cacti and stick, worst case you crash and die
Mirage Stage 1 event. You might hallucinate crates, oases, or even an oasis with capybaras—which could be real

Cacti

The only plant life in the desert. Lots of them, they deal heavy damage, and you can get stuck on them.

Dynamite

Scattered across the mountain. They catch fire when you get close. If you explode, you take massive damage. You can use dynamite to roast scorpions.

Highlands

The Highlands is freezing cold, and crates here contain lots of warming items.

Weather Events

Event Description
Cold wind Strong wind that blows you and freezes you. Without shelter or heating plates, you’ll freeze to death

Food

Food Item Notes
Moon fruit Found inside the mountain. Restores stamina but puts you to sleep and gives a drowsiness debuff

Capybaras

You can warm up and rest well next to capybaras found on the mountain.

Volcano

The Volcano has two parts: Caldera and Furnace.

Caldera

This is the path to the Furnace. You walk on rocks, and lava is the main danger. Lava rises and falls over time—once you know this pattern, it’s manageable. You can find bird eggs here for food.

Furnace

This is your path to freedom. You climb up the Furnace while staying ahead of the rising lava that chases you. Unlike the Caldera, the lava here never goes down—it only goes up.

Final Thoughts

That covers every biome and location in PEAK from start to finish. Whether you’re just starting on the Beach or racing lava in the Volcano, knowing what to expect makes all the difference.
