Big Walk: How to Solve the Green Seat Speaker Headphones Sound Button Puzzle

The Green Seat Speaker Headphones Sound Button puzzle is the kind of co-op challenge that can stall a session for hours if you don’t know the trick. It’s a two-player-only puzzle where one person sits in a chair and the other walks across the map to a radio station that’s so well-hidden you can be standing right next to it and still miss it. The reward is the red finger collectible, and with the right signal system, the whole thing takes under ten minutes. Here’s the exact loop.

Goal / Problem

This puzzle demands two players and a shared understanding of who does what. One player sits in a green speaker chair next to a button. The other travels to a distant radio station tucked away near the green lighthouse. The seated player hears music while in the chair — that’s the cue that the system is active. The traveler’s job is to find the station, signal the seated player, and trigger the button press that opens a hidden compartment holding the red finger.

The station’s audio is distinct, but its location is not. Expect to wander. Players routinely burn an hour or more circling the green lighthouse area without spotting it.

Prerequisites

Before you split up, make sure you have the basics covered.

Requirement Details
Players Exactly 2 — one seated, one traveling
Chair location Green speaker chair with button nearby
Destination Radio station in the dance area near the green lighthouse
Recommended timing Daylight in-game; navigating at night is significantly harder
Optional tools Walkie-talkies, flare gun, or external voice chat (Discord)

The puzzle is fully solvable without any communication tools — the intended experience — but a flare gun or walkie-talkie makes coordination far less painful. If you’re playing with a friend in the same room, just shout.

Note: Do not attempt this at night in-game. The tunnel system is dark, the landmarks blur together, and the radio station becomes nearly impossible to spot.

1. Seat the Listener

One player sits in the green speaker chair. This player will hear music immediately and must stay seated until the traveler signals. If they leave the chair early, the entire coordination loop breaks and the traveler has no way to know when to trigger the button.

2. Traveler Heads to the Radio Station

The second player moves toward the radio station, located in a dance area next to a light blue zone near the green lighthouse. You have three route options:

  1. Tunnel system — safest if unlocked, but long. Expect a several-minute walk.
  2. Rope bridge — faster than the tunnel, but more exposed.
  3. Overland — viable, but only recommended in daylight.

Use the blue lighthouse as your primary reference point. Once you see the green lighthouse, you’re close.

3. Follow the Music

As the traveler approaches the station, floating music symbols and audible notes appear. These are your proximity indicators. Follow them — the station is tucked away and easy to walk past even when you’re within a few meters.

4. Signal the Seated Player

Once the traveler confirms they’re at the station, they must signal clearly. Say “I’m here, press the button” over voice chat, fire a flare, or use a walkie-talkie. The seated player then gets off the chair and presses the button.

5. Press and Hold the Button

The seated player presses the button — and holds it. The mechanism takes a moment to activate. Releasing too early means nothing happens and you have to reset the entire loop.

6. Collect the Red Finger

Pressing the button opens a compartment at the radio station location. The traveler picks up the red finger collectible and the puzzle is solved.

Tips & Troubleshooting

Mistake Consequence Fix
Seated player leaves chair early Traveler has no signal cue; puzzle stalls Keep the listener glued to the chair until the signal arrives
Traveler can’t find the station Hours wasted circling the green lighthouse Listen for music notes; look for floating symbols; check the light blue area
Button pressed too briefly Compartment doesn’t open Hold the button for several seconds
Traveling at night Landmarks invisible; station impossible to spot Wait for daylight or grab a light source first

Warning: The radio station is genuinely easy to miss. Even when you’re certain you’re in the right spot, the game’s audio cues are your best friend. If you don’t hear the distinct music, you’re not there yet.

The tunnel system is safe but painfully long. If you’re in a hurry, take the rope bridge. If you’re playing with a new player, agree on a signal before you split up — deciding on the fly while one person is five minutes away is a recipe for frustration.

The walk itself takes several minutes. Be patient. The red finger is worth it.
