Three rare Pals. Zero room for wasted time. Shadowbeak, Blazamut, and Panthalus are among the most sought-after creatures in Palworld 1.0, and each demands a completely different approach. One is a needle-in-a-haystack spawn on a remote island. Another has both a wild population and a dedicated boss fight. The third is locked behind a multi-step mission chain that requires you to collect items from every biome. This guide cuts through the guesswork with exact coordinates, spawn rates, and the only reliable farming route for each.
Overview: Rare Pal Locations in Palworld 1.0
Each of these three Pals has a unique encounter method. Shadowbeak is a rare spawn in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 — no Alpha variant, no shortcuts. Blazamut gives you two options: farm wild spawns on a desert island or fight the Alpha boss on Mount Obsidian. Panthalus is the odd one out. Pal No. 203 has no habitat, no special skill, and zero wild spawns. The only way to get one is through an NPC mission chain that sends you across the map before triggering a boss battle.
Shadowbeak Location & Farming Route
Shadowbeak spawns exclusively at Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3. To get there, fast travel to the Deep Sand Dunes region. Start at coordinates 528, 526. Mount your fastest flying Pal and head northeast until you see the sanctuary’s rocky shoreline.

The spawn rate is roughly 1 in 20 Pals in this sanctuary. That means you will circle the island many times. The most efficient method is to fly a continuous loop around the entire sanctuary perimeter, scanning every spawn point. Do not land and fight every Pal you see. Only engage when you spot Shadowbeak. If you clear out other Pals, you slow down the respawn cycle. Keep the loop tight and fast. A typical farm session takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on luck. There is no Alpha boss variant — only wild spawns.
Blazamut Wild Spawn & Alpha Boss Locations
Blazamut offers two distinct acquisition paths. Choose based on your level and patience.
Wild Spawns: Start at coordinates 542, 334 in the desert. Head east to a small island with a fast travel point. Blazamut can spawn anywhere on this island, but they tend to cluster near the lower and upper elevations. They are not particularly rare here. Circle the island methodically. You will usually find one within two or three full loops. This is the faster option if you are under level 45 and not ready for the Alpha fight.

Alpha Boss: Fast travel to Mount Obsidian Trail at coordinates -818, -357. From the fast travel point, head east. You will need to climb twice — once to reach the first plateau, then again to the summit. The Alpha Blazamut spawns at the top of this elevated area. The boss is level 47 and hits hard. Bring a team of at least level 40 Pals with strong Dragon or Dark type moves. The Alpha fight guarantees a Blazamut drop, but the wild spawn route is faster for multiple captures.
Panthalus: Mission-Exclusive Pal (No. 203)
Panthalus is the only Pal in this guide that you cannot find by flying around. It has no habitat, no special skill, and no wild spawns. The only path is through an NPC mission chain.
Find the NPC marked on your map at a specific location. Talk to them to start the mission. They will ask you to collect four items — one from each biome. These items are marked on your map, so you can track them directly. Collect all four, then craft an item called ‘Equin Fluid’ at a workbench.

Return to the NPC with the Equin Fluid. This triggers a boss battle against Panthalus. The fight is manageable if you come prepared. Bring your strongest weapon — a high-damage rifle or crossbow works well — and a stack of Ultra Spheres or better. Panthalus has decent health but no special mechanics. Reduce its health to the red zone, then throw spheres until it sticks. Use any sphere type; there is no special capture requirement.
The mission chain takes about 30 minutes if you already have fast travel points near each biome. If you do not, expect closer to an hour of travel time. This is the only way to get Pal No. 203, so do not skip it.
