Seven radio stations are scattered across Big Walk’s sprawling map, and none of them are numbered in the order you’ll actually find them. The first one lands in your lap during the opening area. The last one is buried in a pitch-black tunnel system that requires a key from a completed tower. This guide uses the colored towers as your compass—red, green, blue, yellow—so you can sweep the map efficiently and never double back.
Quick Summary: All 7 stations are tied to landmark towers. Three require tower completions to unlock paths. The rest are free to grab once you know where to look.
How the Radio Stations Are Distributed
The stations are not discovered in numerical order. Here’s the reality of how most playthroughs shake out:
| Station | Landmark Reference | Prerequisite |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Starting area | None (you get the radio here) |
| 3 | Red tower | None (part of early missions) |
| 6 | Green tower area | None |
| 2 | Mountain summit (south) | Rope bridge (complete green tower) |
| 4 | Past blue lighthouse | None |
| 7 | Map edge near yellow tower | None |
| 5 | Tunnel system | Key from yellow tower |
The red tower station is essentially impossible to miss—it’s woven into the first couple of missions. Station 1 is handed to you. That leaves five stations you actually need to hunt down.
If you want a full map overview before setting out, This guide shows you how to unlock the physical map room, which marks every radio station position on a scale model.
Radio Station 1 & 3 – Freebies
Station 1 is in the starting area. You get the radio itself here, and the station is right next to it. Grab it before you even leave the opening zone.

Station 3 sits at the red tower, which is the main landmark you’ll aim for during the first missions. You can’t miss it—the tower is the centerpiece of the early game, and the station is directly at its base.
Radio Station 6 – Near the Green Tower
Head to the green tower and use it as your anchor. From there, locate the screen tower in that same area—the station is right next to it. This one is quick to grab if you’re already working around the green tower.

The green tower region also has a cooperative puzzle involving a seat, speaker, and headphones that requires two players.
Radio Station 2 – On Top of the Mountain
This is a late-game station for most players, even though it’s number 2. Head all the way south and climb the mountain. You’ll need the rope bridge to cross the gap, which only becomes available after you complete the green tower.

The station sits right on top of the mountain, just behind the summit. Most players don’t make this trek until late in the game because the rope bridge unlock comes fairly deep into the progression. Expect a long walk—there’s no fast travel, and the train is slow enough that it’s often not worth waiting for.
Radio Station 4 – Past the Blue Lighthouse
From the blue tower (also called the blue lighthouse), head past it toward the mountain wall. Keep going until you hit the wall, then drop down into the yellow area below.

This vicinity is dense with radio stations—you’ll likely spot the icon on your compass before you see the physical station. The fourth station is in this yellow zone, tucked near the wall. If you’re already exploring the blue lighthouse for other reasons, this detour takes less than two minutes.
The blue lighthouse is also the key location for the train unlock. It’s worth doing before you tackle the long southern routes.
Radio Station 7 – At the Edge of the Map
This is the farthest station from the starting area. Head toward the yellow tower, then continue toward the map boundary. You’ll see a flat red structure in the distance—it looks completely different from every other building because it’s flat, not vertical.
You won’t miss it if you’re past the puzzle area near the yellow tower. The station is right at that flat red structure, sitting at the map’s edge.
Radio Station 5 – In the Tunnels
This is the only station with a hard prerequisite. You must complete the yellow tower to receive a key that unlocks the tunnel system. Without that key, the tunnels stay sealed.
Once inside:
- Grab a light source—the tunnels are completely pitch black.
- Head around the area until you reach the right side.
- Look for a DJ booth with lights on the ground.
The station is a DJ booth with interactive lights you can press and turn on. It’s not inside the tunnels themselves—it’s on the ground level within the tunnel area, so keep your eyes down as you navigate.

The yellow tower completion also unlocks the tunnel system required for the Shiny achievement. If you’re already working through those tunnels, This guide maps out the exact route to the secret location.
Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Consequence | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Searching stations in numerical order | Wastes hours backtracking | Use tower landmarks instead |
| Skipping the green tower completion | Station 2 unreachable | Complete green tower to unlock rope bridge |
| Entering tunnels without a light source | Can’t navigate, risk falling | Grab a light before entering |
| Ignoring the yellow tower | Station 5 locked | Complete yellow tower for the tunnel key |
| Hunting station 7 without checking the yellow tower area | Misses the flat red structure landmark | Use the flat red building as your visual cue |
Final Notes
The radio stations are spread across every major region, but the colored towers give you a clean mental map. Green tower gets you stations 6 and 2 (after the rope bridge). Blue lighthouse leads to station 4. Yellow tower unlocks both station 7’s route and station 5’s tunnel access. The red tower and starting area handle themselves.
Start with the free stations, knock out the green tower for the rope bridge, then work the yellow tower last for the tunnel key. That route minimizes backtracking and keeps the long walks to one per region.
