Fifty-plus Legendary items exist in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and half the battle is knowing which ones sit in fixed spots versus which ones demand patience. I’ve split my time between chasing confirmed coordinates and abusing the vendor refresh loop in Svatau City, and this guide covers both routes. You’ll get exact locations for the gear that never moves, plus the most efficient way to farm the drops that do.
Quick Answer
- Fixed-location Legendaries: Arbiter’s Medallion (waterfall cave, southeast of Parita), Knightly Ring (buried chest, Tantari Woods), Mindbrace Amulet (Zanth Court activity reward), Ancient Footwear (boss room chest, Zanth’s Excavation: Bloody Dagger).
- Random-loot Legendaries: The Purge sword, Hand of Fate sword, Amulet of Crimson Steel, Ring of Focus, Mercenary Boots, Van Braces, Greaves.
- Best farm: Check all 5 vendors in Svatau City — 2 armor, 2 weapons, 1 Silver Trader. They restock randomly with Legendary items you don’t own.
- Chest farming: Possible but brutal. Save-scumming works in theory; odds are very low.
How the Legendary Pool Splits
Understanding the two categories saves you hours. Fixed-location items are one-and-done pickups — you go there, you grab it, you move on. The random-loot pool is where the grind lives.
| Drop Type | Items | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed | Arbiter’s Medallion, Knightly Ring, Mindbrace Amulet, Ancient Footwear | Explore specific locations or complete activities |
| Random | The Purge, Hand of Fate, Amulet of Crimson Steel, Ring of Focus, Mercenary Boots, Van Braces, Greaves | Chests, enemy drops, vendors |
The random pool never spawns at marked coordinates. I’ve tested this. You either get lucky with a chest or you work the vendor rotation.
Arbiter’s Medallion: Waterfall Cave Run
Head southeast of Parita and find the waterfall cave. The Medallion sits on a skeleton inside. This is a straightforward grab — no boss, no puzzle, just a corpse and a reward.

One bonus worth mentioning: the cave holds a massive amount of silver. If you’re planning to buy Legendary gear from the Silver Trader later, this cave effectively funds that purchase. I’d clear it early.

Knightly Ring: Skip the Map, Dig the Chest
The Knightly Ring is buried in the treasure chest tied to the ‘Tantari Woods’ map. Here’s the part most guides get wrong: you do not need the map first. I walked in, found the dig spot, and pulled the ring without ever owning the treasure map.

That saves you a side quest’s worth of wandering. If you’re in Tantari Woods, locate the buried chest and grab the ring. The map is optional flavor.

Mindbrace Amulet: Zanth Court Activity Reward
This one comes from completing the Zanth Court activity ‘Zanth’s Excavations: Malleant Presence’. It’s a reward drop, not a loot pickup, so you need to finish the full activity to see it.

I’d slot this into your run when you’re already doing Zanth Court content. The activity chain has multiple steps, and the amulet is the payoff at the end.

Ancient Footwear: Daytime-Only Boss Room
The Ancient Footwear drops from the boss room chest during ‘Zanth’s Excavation: Bloody Dagger’. There’s a sequence here, and the timing matters:

- Defeat all enemies in the room.
- Find the dagger inside the room.
- Use the dagger to compel the soul to open the chest.
- This only works during the day.
I hit this at night first and got nothing. The chest stayed sealed. Wait for daylight, run it again, and the dagger interaction works. Don’t waste a trip on a night run.

The Svatau City Vendor Loop: Your Best Farm
If you want the random-pool Legendaries without gambling on chests, Svatau City is the answer. Five vendors can stock Legendary gear you don’t already own:
- 2 armor vendors
- 2 weapon vendors
- 1 Silver Trader
The Silver Trader unlocks as soon as you hold any silver — which you’ll get from quests and chests almost immediately. No special quest required.
The restock timing is unknown, but it happens. My routine: every time I pass through Svatau City, I hit all five vendors. Buy anything Legendary I’m missing, and upgrade pieces if I have the coin. It’s not a fast farm, but it’s the most reliable source for the random-pool items.
Tip: Pair this with the waterfall cave silver run. You’ll have the currency to buy whatever the vendors stock.
Chest Farming: The Low-Odds Gambit
Chests have a small random chance to spawn Legendary gear. Save-scumming works in theory — reload, open, repeat — but the odds are brutal. I’d treat chests as a passive bonus during exploration rather than an active farm.

Open everything you see. The chance is low, but it costs nothing. The real grind is the vendor loop.
