Preaching in Graveyard Keeper 2 got a little more complicated than it used to be. I wrote this guide to lay out exactly what each prayer demands and what it gives back, so you are not guessing at the pulpit.
One quick note before you dive in: every prayer needs a set amount of Faith to start, and another amount to guarantee success. If you fall short of the guarantee, the result is not locked in — that is the risk you take when you preach early.
Simple Prayer and Prayer of Faith

Neither of these prayers carries any buff. You take the Faith numbers and nothing else, which makes them your bread-and-butter sermons while you build up resources.

The numbers scale with quality here, so pushing Silver and Gold pays off once you can cover the guaranteed Faith cost. No buff attaches to this one either.

This one asks for a lot of Faith up front, so I would not touch it until your supply is stable. Like the prayers above, it comes with no buff.

This is the first prayer in the list that actually grants a buff, and the duration climbs with quality — up to 135 minutes at Gold. The exact buff itself has not been pinned down yet, so treat the duration column as solid and the effect as pending.
A Note From the Author
I am still filling in the rest of the prayers. Every screenshot is done and every prayer is already in the Keeper’s hands. I just have not slept much thanks to this game, so the buffs will go in once I run each unique prayer at least once.
