Minecraft Dungeons 2: Achievements Guide 100%

Hello, Dungeoners! This guide is here to help you earn that Platinum trophy on XBOX, or the 100% completion if you are playing through Steam. I hope it proves useful.

Welcome, Minecraft Fans and Dungeon Lovers

If you have fallen in love with the game and decided to close it out with “All Achievements,” you are in exactly the right place. Minecraft Dungeons II is one of the easiest Platinums out there — it does not demand heavy grinding, massive effort, or a huge time investment. Most achievements come naturally as you play through the story campaign and explore the world.

For your planning, expected time to 100%: about 30–40 hours. The new Sift dimension is a fun one to explore — what did you think of the announcement that it may arrive in vanilla Minecraft? Let me know in the comments.

Story Achievements

Let’s start with the story achievements. These are impossible to miss — you get them 100% of the time. I have put the exact conditions below so you don’t spoil your first run of the story.

  • Home is Where Your Stuff Is — Arrive at Camp. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Brave the Unknown — Enter the Sift. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Note Block Virtuoso — Activate the note block mechanism. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Friend of the Sift — Receive the song gift from the singer. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Defender of Dimensions — Save the Overworld and the Sift. This trophy is awarded after you fully complete the main story in Minecraft Dungeons II.

Boss Achievements

I put every boss in the game here, since beating each one also grants an achievement. These are also unmissable — you get them regardless of the outcome. Conditions are below.

  • Craftier than Witchcraft — Defeat the witch of the Howling Peaks. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Twisted Madness — Defeat the twisted guardian. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Copper Stopper — Defeat the arch-illusioner’s monster. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Past Their Prime — Defeat the arch-mage. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Regicide — Defeat the monarch. Story-related, unmissable.
  • Monstrous Crescendo — Defeat the monstrous opus. Story-related, unmissable.

Side Quest Achievements

As you move through the main story of Minecraft Dungeons II, the game will also hand you Side Quests. I do not recommend skipping them — completing them rewards you with gear and weapons that will clearly help in later runs. Each one is a fun little adventure, so you’ll enjoy them. These achievements, however, are very easy to miss.

  • Blowout — Defuse the creeper candles in the Honeycomb Fields. One of the very first Side Quests.
  • Spider Slayer — Rescue the priest’s apprentice in the Howling Peaks. This quest can be found while exploring the Howling Peaks location.
  • Scrapping over Scraps — Bring copper to the villains at the Puddle Puddle. This quest can be found while exploring the Puddle Puddle location.
  • Carapace Explorer — Climb into the humble cadaver. This quest can be found by exploring the game world.
  • Code Cracker — Decipher the villains’ secret code in the Frozen Heights. This quest can be found by exploring the game world.
  • Wobble Watcher — Find the lost wobbles in the Singer’s Meadow. This quest can be found by exploring the game world.
  • Choir Conductor — Awaken the echo golems in the Lullaby Hills. This quest can be found by exploring the game world.
  • Guardian of the Golems — Drive off the villains camped near the Echo Lair. This quest can be found by exploring the game world.

Upgrade Achievements

This section covers achievements tied to Upgrades for your gear: armor, melee and ranged weapons, and support accessories. Most of these will come without much trouble just by playing the game, but a few demand a bit of patience and time. These are a bit tedious and will take a while to finish.

  • One-of-a-Kind — Use a unique item. You can get your first unique item by completing the Side Quest with the bee hives.
  • Strike While it’s Hot — Change a special gear element. As you progress through the story, you’ll unlock the Blacksmith. You just need to swap the bonus effect on your weapon to another one.
  • Shop Till You Drop — Buy special gear from the town merchant. As you progress through the story, you’ll unlock the Merchant. You need to buy any gear or weapon from him with the “Special” rarity level (blue quality).
  • Worked Like a Talisman — Upgrade a talisman to level 3. A talisman is a unique in-game item that grants various useful effects. Upgrading it is quite labor-intensive. To upgrade it, just equip the talisman and go about your business: kill mobs, do quests, explore the world. The longer the talisman stays in your gear slot, the faster it levels up.
  • Worked Like a Charm — Upgrade an enchantment to level 3. As you progress through the story, you’ll unlock the Enchanter. You need to level him up to level 3. The merchant levels up using special crystals that drop from “strong mobs” — the ones marked with a blue glow among the others — or you can simply kill Endermen since they also drop those crystals.
  • Maxed Out and Gear Up — The weapon and armor you are using are enchanted to level 3. Based on the achievement condition, you need to equip a weapon and armor on your character after upgrading their enchantments to level 3.

Miscellaneous Achievements

I saved the achievements that require dense exploration of every location, completing all side quests, and other conditions for last. These requirements are actually quite easy, so you won’t have trouble finishing the remaining achievements. They are, however, extremely easy to miss.

  • Track Record — Activate all minecart stations. Early on, these minecart stations — which act as respawn points for the player — appear along the story and can’t be missed. But as the game world grows, you’ll have to hunt them down. You need to find them all.
  • Mystic Librarian — Collect all enchantment books. Conditions for completion are unknown.
  • Y-Axis Unlocked — Kill 1000 mobs with jump attacks. Simple in appearance but tedious. You must kill 1000 mobs with jump attacks (default key combo: Space + Q).
  • Ka-BOOM! — Kill 10 mobs at once with dynamite. The easiest achievement in the game. Find a stick of dynamite, gather a crowd of mobs around you, fire the dynamite at your feet or toward the enemies — the achievement is yours! Just make sure the crowd has 10 or more entities.
  • Treasure Hunter — Open 100 chests. Another cumulative achievement. You need to find and open 100 chests (both normal and gold count). Just explore the world, find chests, and the achievement is yours.
  • Expert Explorer — Reach level 50. Speaks for itself. You need to raise your character to level 50.
  • Venerable Voyager — Reach level 100. One of the hardest achievements in the game right now. It requires getting your character to level 100.

You Are Amazing

Every adventure, sooner or later, comes to an end. This is currently the full achievement list for Minecraft Dungeons II.

Compared to its predecessor, Minecraft Dungeons II is very easy for earning the coveted Platinum. Only a few achievements really challenged the player. The developers promise plenty of DLC content ahead, and with its release the game — and this guide — will gain new achievements. So we’ll see each other again in the vast world of Minecraft.

Please rate this guide if it deserves it. As the author, it would bring me genuine warmth to know my work was actually useful to someone. If you run into unrelated errors like the 0029 and 0064 error fixex, those are separate from the game itself.
